Last Friday we visited the fire station. We learned about what fire fighters do, the tools they use, and the gear that is essential for them to have in order to go into a fire. The students also had the chance to get a close up look at the fire trucks. This was all apart of Fire Safety and Prevention Week. The theme this year was "Have 2 Ways Out." I encourage all families to talk with your children about what to do in case of a fire emergency, such as exit plans and meeting spots. Thanks to the Lanesboro Fire Department for your time!
