Final Day!

On the last day of school we always use shaving cream on our desks to get them squeaky clean for summer.  It's also super fun to play in! Happy summer everyone!

End of the Year Fun!

Here are a few pics as we bring this wonderful school year to an end.  This great group of students were such a joy to work with!

Bike Rodeo and Track and Field Day!

Bike Rodeo and Track and Field Day is probably one of the students' most favorite days!  The morning starts with Bike Rodeo.  The students bring in their bikes and helmets to be checked over before they begin a summer of bike riding.  Then the students ride through a mini obstacle course a few times.  In the afternoon the students participate in Track and Field Day.  Families come and watch the events that the students have signed up for and practiced.  (No photos of Track and Field Day since teachers stick with just one event throughout the day.)

Snow Day in May??!!

Hello Families!  I just had to document the craziness of a snow day in the month of May!  Looking forward to seeing everyone at our SPRING play and Authors' Celebration today (Friday, 5/3) at 2:15!

Our play will be rescheduled for May 10th at 2:15!

WSU Band Day

Today the Winona State University Band visited Lanesboro.  We started the day by listening to a concert in the park.  Later in the morning, we went to the gym where the students had the chance to try out all of the instruments.  They had so much fun, and I was absolutely impressed with WSU students.  They did an awesome job working with the kids and were so enthusiastic about sharing their love of music with them.  Thank you to the WSU Band for such a fun and unique experience!
