Compound Word Cupcakes

We have been learning about compound words in first/second grade.  I found this idea on Pinterest for the students to make a "Cupcake of Compound Words."  It's always fun for them to combine their learning with some cutting and glueing!  I love how once the students learn a new concept, they notice it everywhere!  In every book we read together or on their own, they keep finding more and more compound words, and we keep adding them to our list!
